Team Vicar (City) Harbour Church
Harbour Church is situated in the heart of Portsmouth and we have a vision to play our part in the evangelisation of the nation, the revitalisation of the church and the transformation of society.
Our new Team Vicar (City) will be an active and visible presence in the wide array of social action projects held at our City location to build on existing relationships and partner with local schools, community groups and services. The role will lead and oversee the planting of a new contemporary worshipping community at All Saints Church.
Following an invitation from the Bishop of Portsmouth, Harbour Church was planted out of HTB network church St Peter’s Brighton and has been in Portsmouth since 2016.
We are for the 99% of people in Portsmouth and beyond who do not go to church. We let our city know that Jesus’ message is “You Belong Here”. We are outward-focused and our priority will always be to meet our city’s needs and shape ministry around people.
The profile for the post is attached. For further information please contact Team Rector Rev Lewis Dean.

The Diocese of Portsmouth is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce that represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of United Kingdom Minority Ethnic/Global Majority Heritage, women and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation. The appointment will of course be based on merit alone. Enhanced DBS will be required.
