Parish Administrator, North End Team Ministry

An exciting opportunity within theTeam Parish of the North End Team Ministry, in the north of Portsea Island. Based in the office at St Mark’s Church in the centre of North End, the Parish Administrator’s role is to supervise and facilitate the day-to-day administrative operations of the three churches of St Francis’ Hilsea, St Mark’s North End and St Nicholas’, Copnor, and to be a key face and voice of these churches to their wider communities. Working, often alone, but in close co-operation with the Team Rector, the Ministry Team, the Parish and Deputy Wardens, and other church members, your role will be very diverse and will require professionalism, discretion and sound decision making.

This position is a good opening for a talented Administrator seeking a wide ranging, interesting and varied role, with the opportunity to be an active and valued part of the church and wider community.

Candidates need not be from any specific faith background and no preference will be given in this regard. However, the successful candidate should be sympathetic to Christian values and supportive of the mission of the Church of England.

Good IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Word) are essential.

The PCC is reviewing the rate of pay, and the hours per week:

• This is currently a 12-hour-a-week post, including working in the office two weekday mornings (presently Tuesday and Wednesday) from 9am to 1pm.
• Rate of pay 2025: £13.70 per hour
• 4 weeks holiday per annum
