    Acorn Christian Healing Foundation is a National Network of Healing Hubs, founded in 1983 by Bishop Morris Maddocks (then the Archbishop’s Advisor in Health and Healing) to resource the work of healing in the Anglican Church and ecumenically, and as a ministry to the wider community.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Director of Ministry

    Appointed by the Trustees, the DoM leads the ministry of Acorn, providing ministry oversight and collaborative leadership with the DoO for staff, Hub Coordinators, and volunteers. Leads our educational aspects; networks with relevant organisations; and is our front-facing representative at the national level.

    The role also includes a focus on development and strategizing creatively to pursuing new opportunities to secure resources and connections, making our visions a reality.

    The post is currently offered as a part-time role (4 days/week) as a mix of days/evenings/weekends. While some aspects of the work schedule are flexible, the monthly Saturday morning Healing Academy training is fixed. We are looking for someone to make a long-term investment, giving shape to the exciting new season of expansion into which we are entering.

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Supported by the Trustees, provide front-facing leadership of the organisation locally and nationally, including at regular Training Academy and ministry events.
    2. Working collaboratively with the DoO providing active pastoral cover for Hub Coordinators and their teams. Currently comprising 11 regional Hubs and 40 volunteer Prayer ministers.
    3. Brokering new Hub initiatives and building relationships with other organisations supporting Acorn’s objectives. Being the resolving factor in troubleshooting situations where required.
    • This is a remote working role with some travel required across the UK.
    • Full-Time Salary: £38,950 (pro rated for 3 or 4 days per week)
