St John’s Fareham is looking to recruit a Children and Families Worker to grow and champion children’s ministry and activities.

• Standard Working Hours: 17.5 hours per week (including some Sundays)
• Salary Band: £24,000 to £26,000 pa (pro rata for part time) 2-year contract

Job Summary

• To introduce children (0-11) within church to Jesus and to disciple them as lifelong followers of him.
• To bless the children and families in the local community, giving them places and activities to belong to.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with a team of volunteers for children and families’ ministries
• Instigate, create and champion the continuation of new children’s and families’ initiatives within the life of St John’s
• Engage with local primary schools, developing good relationships
• Set up children’s groups, after school
• Network with other Children’s and Families workers
• Keep abreast of the current codes of good practice for child protection
