Established in 2015 by local church members, the food bank supports families throughout the Meon Valley. From their base at the Wickham Community Centre they provide much needed food whilst also encouraging clients to access other means of available help.

The chair leads the trustee team and, through a recently appointed food bank manager, ensures that both the requirements of the Charity Commission and the well-established Christian ethos are maintained. The volunteer team are recognised by clients as delivering an exceptional service.

The current chair will be stepping down in early 2025, and as part of a planned transition, we would particularly like to talk to individuals who can demonstrate well-developed leadership skills, excellent communication skills and a passion for providing support to those in need. You should be comfortable working in a Christian environment and be an active and committed member of a local Church.
