Following the service, the children helped to serve the refreshments and spoke to many of the congregation. Staff and pupils from Sarisbury Junior are looking forward to welcoming Dave into school and further developing the close relationship they have with the church.
Darcie said: “I felt really good about speaking in front of people and being really courageous. I had the chance to meet the new vicar and the Bishop of Portsmouth. I just really enjoyed it!”
Sam said: “I feel thankful that the school picked me to go to the church. I had the opportunity to meet Reverend Dave and I was excited to talk to him. I am looking forward to introducing Dave to the school.”
