TITCHFIELD Yarn Bombers have created a beautiful cascade of flowers pouring down the tower at the west door of St Peter’s Church.

The group have knitted hundreds of individual flowers, each sewn onto a net that covers the tower of St Peter’s Church, from the bell tower to the ground. It was a beautiful sight for all those who joined the trail of open gardens around the village organised by the Friends of St Peter’s in June and will remain in place for the rest of the summer.

Visitors are welcome to St Peter’s to see the cascade and also explore this ancient church each day from 9am to 4pm. On Friday mornings visitors can take a coffee break in the Chapter Room where drinks and biscuits are served each week. The Welcome Café will be open serving tea and homemade cake every Tuesday afternoon from the end of July to and including August 20th.

Pictured above left is the Rev Penny Thatcher, who was recently took up her new role as associate priest for St Peter’s. You can read more about Penny here.
