Church hides ‘baby Jesus rocks’ ahead of Christmas
CAN you help find the 'baby Jesus rocks' hidden around the community in Crookhorn?
Worshippers from Church of the Good Shepherd, Crookhorn, have painted 600 small rocks with images of the baby Jesus wrapped in swadding clothes, and will hide them on little beds of straw around the community on December 13.
Local children will then be invited to find them in the two weeks leading up to Christmas Eve. They'll then be encouraged to bring their rocks to the 'Baby Jesus Rocks the Nativity' service on Christmas Eve.
The whole project will be launched at the Messy Church 'Follow the Star' event at the church, which happens at 3.30pm on December 12. Guests will follow a trail to meet all the Nativity characters. The only missing character will be Jesus, meaning that the whole community will be invited to find Jesus.
