RNLI 200th anniversary thanksgiving service
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution celebrates its 200th Anniversary this year. All are welcome at a Thanksgiving Service to be held at St James Church Milton on Sunday 29th September at 3pm, followed by refreshments in the hall.
The local choir, Achoired Taste, will sing, the crew of the Portsmouth lifeboat will offer prayers, and the Selsey Shantymen will add further nautical flavour.
The Archdeacon of the Meon, Ven Kathryn Percival, will preside and preach and we will all conclude by singing the naval hymn Eternal Father with a new verse added this year for the RNLI.
Further details from the local RNLI Chaplain, Fr John Strain.
