Epiphany 2024
You may be familiar with the Epiphany tradition of ‘chalking the doors’ with an inscription such as20 † C † M † B † 24. This can be seen as a reference to the three Magi who visited Jesus (traditionally known as Caspar, Melchoir and Balthasar) and also an abbreviated Latin blessing (Christus Mansionem Benedicat) which means ‘May Christ bless this house/dwelling’). Our education team have created some resources for churches and church schools, to help them learn more about this tradition:
