    The course will seek to offer an overview of the whole biblical story through addressing key biblical themes: God’s powerful elusiveness; God’s ‘with-ness’; God’s face, peace and reconciliation; joy and sorrow, laughter and weeping; suffering and passion; exploring how these themes which can be discovered in the Book of Genesis are re-visited again and again in the pages of scripture in ways that inspire and exhilarate us and are fundamental to the relationship between God and humanity. We will then look at the depiction of the Pharisees in the Gospels, and explore together how we might challenge some of the Gospel rhetoric.
