Ordinations 2026

Our ordination services are those where our bishop commissions those who are set apart to be members of the clergy. The bishop lays his hands on those who have been discerned, trained and presented, with prayer for the gifts of the Holy Spirit and for the grace required for ministry as deacons or priests.

We had two ordination services in June 2026: one for deacons and one for priests. Here are those who will be ordained this year:

Deacons

  • Lindsey Crowhurst (to serve at Shedfield and Wickham);
  • Stuart McKerracher (Portsmouth Cathedral);
  • Lizzie Sykes-Little (Liss)

Priests

  • The Rev Mary Ball (serving at St Faith's, Lee-on-the-Solent); 
  • The Rev Nikki Bryant (Locks Heath);
